PhD in Educational Sciences from UPTC-RUDECOLOMBIA, M.A. in Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language and B.A. in Modern Languages from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Full-time professor at UPTC and Editor of UPTC Press. She leads the TONGUE Research Group, is an Associate Researcher recognised by MinCiencias, an academic peer reviewer for SINAES (Costa Rica) and a member of the CONACES evaluation panel.
Research focus: English language teacher education in the Colombian context, with emphasis on intercultural approaches in diverse territorial settings, especially rural contexts.
