PhD in Educational Sciences from UPTC-RUDECOLOMBIA, M.A. in Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language and B.A. in Modern Languages from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Full-time professor at UPTC and Editor of UPTC Press. She leads the TONGUE Research Group, is an Associate Researcher recognised by MinCiencias, an academic peer reviewer for SINAES (Costa Rica) and a member of the CONACES evaluation panel.

Research focus: English language teacher education in the Colombian context, with emphasis on intercultural approaches in diverse territorial settings, especially rural contexts.

Professor in the Department of Language and Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia, where she teaches applied linguistics and language teacher education. She previously taught in the United States and Japan. She is co-editor of Race, racism, and antiracism in language education (Routledge, 2025) and her work has appeared in Applied Linguistics, ELT Journal, Modern Language Journal, TESOL Quarterly and World Englishes. She currently serves as Past President of the American Association for Applied Linguistics.

Research focus: antiracism, intersectional justice, critical multiculturalism, language ideologies and decolonial perspectives.

Somos profesores en formación de la Licenciatura en Lenguas Extranjeras con énfasis en Inglés de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Nuestros intereses académicos incluyen la traducción, así como la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de idiomas. Formamos parte del Semillero de Estudios en Traducción (SETRA), donde hemos participado en diversos proyectos de investigación y traducción. Como resultado obtuvimos la distinción de tesis laureada por nuestro trabajo de traducción y adaptación del artículo Estudio de las Momias Guanes de la Mesa de los Santos (1992).

Enfoque: cualitativo, aplicado e interdisciplinario, en Estudios de Traducción y Lingüística Aplicada.

School teacher at Institución Educativa Barrios Unidos del Sur in Florencia, Caquetá. He is pursuing the Interinstitutional Ph.D. in Education, with emphasis in ELT Education, at Universidad del Valle. He holds an M.A. in English Didactics from Universidad Surcolombiana and a B.A. in English language teaching from Universidad de la Amazonia.

Research focus: critical interculturality, decoloniality, sentipensares, materials development, and textbook and materials analysis and evaluation.

Reader in Education (Applied Linguistics), Director of MRes programmes and Institutional Academic Lead for the South-West Doctoral Training Partnership at the University of Bath. She is also Adjunct Professor at Khazar University and an Associate Member of the EMI Oxford Research Group. She has published seven edited books on English Medium Instruction, led a global EMI report for the British Council and published in Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics Review and Studies in Higher Education.

Research focus: factors affecting academic achievement in EMI, including English proficiency and psychological constructs.

Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Language Education at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh, where he is also Director of Postgraduate Research. He is an active member of professional associations in Latin America (FAAPI, Argentina) and the UK (BAAL), and has spoken in Argentina, Colombia, France, Germany, Singapore and Spain. His most recent book is Developing Curriculum for TESOL (Bloomsbury).

Main interests: CLIL, action research, social justice and pre-service language teacher education.

Over 20 years of international experience across Colombia, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom in Language and Literacies education. His scholarly work is grounded in critical, creative, anti-racist and decolonial worldviews. He is the founder of the Liminal Research and Education Centre and co-founder of the Artem Research Collective, and co-editor of the Handbook in Applied Linguistics and Neurodiversity.

Research focus: arts-based, creative, critical and post-material methodologies as ways of understanding relationality, place and lived experience.
