Celebrating excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement

ASOCOPI recognises outstanding contributions from novice researchers in the field of English Language Teaching in Colombia. These awards honour the author(s) of an exceptional thesis at graduate or undergraduate level whose research has significantly contributed to the ELT academic community.

Any current ASOCOPI member who has supervised a thesis with a final evaluation between 4.5 and 5.0 (not necessarily laureate) may nominate its author(s).

In 1990 the Board of Directors created a special award for individuals and institutions who had devoted their lives to strengthening and enriching the association. It is named after Clare de Silva, a founding member and the first President of ASOCOPI.

The award is granted during the National Congress in October to the nominee with the highest positive impact on the association.
